Overview

At Pop-Up Party Des Moines, we want every event to be a success. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and what to expect. By booking with us, you agree to the terms below.

1. Deposits

All bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your reservation. This deposit covers our cost to hold your date and reserve your equipment.

Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations, date changes, and weather-related cancellations initiated by the Renter.

2. Cancellation Refund Schedule

If you need to cancel your booking, the following schedule applies based on how far in advance you cancel:

  • More than 7 days before your event: Deposit is forfeited. Any payments made beyond the deposit will be refunded in full.

  • 3–7 days before your event: Deposit is forfeited. 50% of any remaining balance paid will be refunded.

  • Less than 72 hours before your event: No refund. The full amount paid is forfeited.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing customercare@popuppartydesmoines.com. Cancellations are effective upon written confirmation from us.

3. Rescheduling

We understand that plans change. If you need to reschedule your event, we will do our best to accommodate you at no additional charge, subject to availability, provided you notify us at least 7 days before your original event date.

Rescheduling requests made within 7 days of the event are treated as cancellations and the refund schedule in Section 2 applies.

4. Cancellations by Pop-Up Party Des Moines

In rare cases, we may need to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, equipment failure, or other force majeure events. If we cancel your booking for any reason:

  • You will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including your deposit, OR

  • You may choose to reschedule at no additional charge, subject to availability.

We will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to find the best resolution.

5. Weather Cancellations by the Renter

If you choose to cancel due to weather concerns after equipment has already been delivered and set up, the standard cancellation schedule in Section 2 applies and no refund will be issued.

If weather conditions are severe enough that we determine delivery is unsafe, Section 4 applies and you will receive a full refund or free reschedule.

6. Equipment Issues

If any rented equipment arrives in unusable condition or fails to function properly during your event through no fault of the Renter, please contact us immediately at customercare@popuppartydesmoines.com. We will assess the situation and, where appropriate, issue a partial or full refund for the affected item(s).

No refund will be issued for equipment issues resulting from improper use, failure to follow operating instructions, or damage caused by the Renter or event guests.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or cancellation:

  1. Email customercare@popuppartydesmoines.com with your name, booking date, and reason for the request.

  2. We will confirm receipt within 1 business day.

  3. Eligible refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
